The 5th issue of the scientific-theoretical journal "Eastern Studies" of the Academician Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS was published. 25 scientific articles related to the fields of literature, linguistics, history, ethnography, political sciences and philosophy have been published in the magazine.

In the "Literature" section of the magazine, the coverage of gender issues in modern Egyptian literature, socio-political realities of the time in Circi Zeydan's novel "Harun's sister Abbasa", the last representative of divan literature, Leskofchali Ghalib, the life and works of the famous Turkish thinker of the 17th century Katib Çelebi, the historical novel genre in Turkish literature about the theoretical aspects and so on. articles are included.

Articles related to the concept of politeness in Turkish Turkish and poetic figures in the anthology "Yetimatud-dahr" are presented in the "Linguistics" section.

The articles in the "History, Ethnography and Political Sciences" section describe the activities of Enver Pasha in preventing the genocide against the Turkish Muslim population in South Azerbaijan, the architectural features of Ottoman houses in 19th century Western travelogues, the relations of independent Azerbaijan with the People's Republic of China, the cooperation of Iran and Russia in international affairs, the 19th century Ottoman Empire.
